  Marcee Ben-Menachem, M.Ed.
A classroom teacher and Autism therapist since 1998, April has extensive experience working with children with exceptional needs. She has taught in private, public and international sectors. April’s understanding of general/special education and inclusive classrooms has enabled her to create successful learning environments for all children. She has a keen interest in helping children develop the social skills that will enable them to be more successful both in the classroom and in life. April holds a Bachelor’s in General Education, a Master’s in Special Education, and has taught both general and special education in the Lake Washington School District. She was also invited to a global conference to present her research findings on the importance of learning social skills at an early age.
 
A child behavior specialist and counselor since 1999, Marcee has strong interest and experience in helping children with autism-spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, behavioral issues, and social/emotional challenges. She has provided social services in school/community settings for high-risk youth and their families, and served as Program Director for Choices (a social-skills/anger-management program for youth) at the Learning Disabilities Association. Marcee holds a Bachelor’s in Sociology, a Master’s in Education/Counseling, and is currently an Elementary School Counselor in the Lake Washington School District. This diverse background allows her to provide comprehensive support. She has also spoken at conferences for ADHD Resources and the Washington School Counselors Association.
